Why are customs documents important? When goods cross borders, you’re responsible for preparing the customs documentation.
The type of documentation required depends on the type of goods you are exporting/importing, their commercial value and the country/territory of destination. The most commonly required documents are the international air waybill and the commercial invoice, but others can be needed too.
Completing all documentation correctly will help you to avoid customs delays.

Import Declarations
An import is a good or service bought in one country that was produced in another. Imports are an important component of international trade.
If you import goods, you must complete a customs declaration electronically via specialised customs software and pay any charges due (Customs Duty, Value-Added Tax (VAT), Excise Duty). There are several elements to consider before importing goods and Easy Customs is here to guide you through the steps required to ensure your goods arrive with ease.
Export Declarations
An export in international trade is a good produced in one country that is sold into another country. Exports must comply with relevant regulations to ensure restricted or prohibited items are not exported or if exported carry the relevant licence/authorisation. Prior to any export we will discuss all details of the goods movement with your business to ensure the customs declaration meets the minimum data requirements a s set out under customs law.
ATA Carnet/Temporary Import
The ATA (admission temporary admission) carnet is an international customs document which allows the temporary importation of commercial samples, professional equipment or goods going to either a trade fair or exhibition.
ATA Carnets are issued by approved associations in participating countries and replace the customs documents usually required on entering each country. The carnet is valid for a period of 12 months with unlimited goods movement allowed within that time frame.
Speak to us at Easy Customs about obtaining an ATA Carnet for your temporary import/export requirements.
Sanitary and Phytosanitary Imports
Let us do all the work and organise your TRACES and IPAFFS notifications which are required to complete your import declarations for controlled goods. These goods have an extra layer of complexity in that they must also be cleared by the Department of Agriculture or the Health Authority on import, depending on the goods. Types of goods will include live animals, plants and plant products, products of animal origin and food of non-animal origin.
Flexible. Transparent. Easy.
